Wild Carp Companies presents the Wild Carp Fall Shootout at Onondaga Lake Good Dog Park on Saturday, October 23rd.

This Carp angling tournament is a Pay Lake style competition, which means single anglers will be positioned in non-traditional peg lengths and will be competing for Big Fish prizes awarded every hour.
The entry fee is $40 per angler (cash only event—no checks) and there will be a 100% prize payout on all entry fees received. Entry is restricted to the first 20 anglers for a maximum payout of $80 per hour.

If no Carp are caught during an hour of competition, that hour’s payout will be attributed to the final hour of competition, 4:30 – 5:30 pm.  If no Carp is caught in that hour, the remaining prize money will be awarded to the next angler to catch a Carp.

For an additional $10, anglers can participate in the floating jug contest. In the floating jug contest, a random weight is selected (between 10 lb, o oz and 25 lb, 0 oz) and whoever catches that weight first wins the contents of the jug. If no participants hit the designated weight, the jug will carry over and a new weight will be selected at the next Wild Carp Shootout event.

Tournament Results

Thank you to the 17 anglers from Central New York and surrounding area that attended the 2010 Wild Carp Fall Shootout.

It was a slower than usual day of fishing, but 7 of the ten hours of the event paid out to winners.

Though not everyone won, everyone agreed that this was a fun event and that they would like to see another Shootout happen soon.
