Scott Osmond, Tournament Director - Wild Carp Companies of New England
Scott has been Carp fishing for over 29 seasons and began incorporating Euro-style methods into his arsenal since becoming a CAG member back in 1994.
Travelling out of state in pursuit of Carp since the mid 90's, he has landed a 30+lb Carp in 13 different states and DC. Scott has taken 22 commons over 40lbs, 1 x 40+lb mirror, and 6 x 40+lb grassers, he is still looking for his first 50+lb common (PB 48-8).
He has topped the State Record from Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Favorite fish ever was his 41lb 3oz mirror from Tomhannock Res, which was the first Carp landed by a Carp angler from this now famous big fish venue.
Besides being a speciman Carp angler, he also partakes in many tournaments each year, in a variety of places. Having travelled as far as Romania for tournaments, his best win was during the 2006 Texas Carp Challenge in Austin TX for the winning purse of $25,000.
Also, he has a CAG Austin Team Championship win with his dad, Vaughan, as well as numerous other event wins over the years. He has won nearly $50,000 in Carp tournament winnings since his first tourney placing back in 1990 at a local event.
Always searching and pioneering new waters looking for giant fish, he's landed a 40+lb Carp from 12 different waters in his travels.
Sharing this info, as well as tactics learned over near 3 decades of Carping, he is looking to pass on this knowledge to as many new Carpers as possible, and the Wild Carp Company is the perfect setting for this.
